ABOUT US

7th Heaven Children's Haven was founded and is run by the gifted and highly trained Ms Nelly Senong. It is a safe house and foster home for children taken into care by the social services. Their mission is to give these children love and care and to restore their dignity and sense of self worth, enabling them to be educated and to grow-up to be valued members of society.

The Vision

To transform the child’s environment so that he/she can experience the warmth of a home and to integrate back into school so that in turn he/she can/will offer a positive input in our society. We want to maintain a balance: the children need to be cared for in spirit, soul and body.

The Mission:

• To let the children be children again.
• To restore their dignity as human beings and see themselves as God sees them.
• Channel the desire of creating a better future into useful qualities.
• To impress discipline by means of participation in house rules and duties.
• The goal is to give the children the love they never knew or experienced. To love them with the love of the Lord, and restore them to become valuable members of society.

PROJECTS

7th Heaven Children's Haven is a local community care mission caring for children taken into alternate care by the Department of Social Services due to severe neglect and/or abuse. 

We provide these children with a safe place to call home and nurture their development. 

Equipment

We have appeals to help furnish the new classroom and Montessori equipment for the pre-school area. There are other furniture needs as well.

Santa Shoe Box

Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated presents for the children via the wonderful Santa Shoe Box project. The children were so thrilled when Santa came early to deliver the presents.

Home for the children

We are very grateful for a grant from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund enabling the Haven to buy and convert premises of its own, enabling our expansion and also funding transport for us.

Volunteer

People are always needed to play, teach and support the children. Time is precious to these kids.
