Ascot Wedding and Conference Venue is nestled in beautiful indigenous surroundings with abundant rockeries and birdlife and provides a perfect wedding, function and conference venue. During the breaks, relax with some tea or coffee, a muffin or biscuits and listen to the birds chirping and the water flowing. There’s no better way to gather your thoughts.
The venue is situated off the N3 highway and is easily accessible. It is just a short 10 minute drive from the CBD of Pietermaritzburg.

Functions at Ascot
If you are celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary or any other special occasion, Ascot’s venues provide an ideal setting for any of these. The venues are also ideal for work functions that need to take place away from your usual office environment. Baby Shower

Conferences at Ascot
Ascot Wedding and Conference Venue is one of the most versatile conference venues in Pietermaritzburg. There are a number of venues to choose from, including large bomas able to accommodate up to 200 people, and intimate rondavels accommodating up to 10 people: ideal for smaller breakaway groups. From small training sessions to large annual conferences, we will be able to meet your conference needs.
All the conference venues are fully air-conditioned (except the Hippo Room), and are equipped with the basic conferencing equipment, ensuring you the most comfortable experience possible. From simple finger snacks to to delicious home cooked buffet lunches, all your catering needs for your conference will be met at Ascot Wedding & Conference Venue.
Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available too. We are disability friendly, and offer disabled parking and a disabled toilet.
The Boardroom
This venue is perfect for smaller conferences. It can seat 18 delegates in a U-Shape set up and 24 delegates in a School room style set up. This is a standard, multi-functional room which serves as a perfect boardroom, away from the office.
The Buffalo Room
This venue has a unique hessian and wooden beam roof, and overlooks a crystal clear swimming pool. Up to 60 delegates can be seated in a cinema style setting and 35 delegates in a U-Shape set-up.
The Elephant Room
This is a large thatched venue which can seat up to 230 delegates in a cinema style seating arrangement. 120 delegates can be seated in a school-room seating arrangement and up to 60 delegates in a U-Shape seating arrangement. This venue also has a large outdoor area for delegates to interact and mingle.
The Hippo Room
This venue is used as our Dining Area for our conference delegates however it is the perfect venue to host a breakfast conference or an evening conference. It is available from 07h00 until 12h00 in the mornings and from 16h00 to 22h00 in the evening.
The Rhino Room
This Rhino Room is a medium sized thatch building which can seat up to 70 delegates in a School Room seating arrangement, 90 people in a cinema arrangement and 50 delegates in a U-Shape Arrangement.
The Duiker Room
This quaint venue is nestled away from the other venues and is perfect for smaller conferences. Up to 10 delegates can comfortably fit in this venue in a U-shape seating arrangement. It is also perfect to use as an interview room or breakaway room.
