We are a South African based company with branches in all the major cities. We offer national as well as International courier services and we are certified hazardous goods complaint.

Churchills initially specialized in the transportation needs of the clothing industry, with this building our reputation as one of the most reliable value for money courier companies we were able to expand into other industries, as we do today from advertising, packaging, shipping companies and all other commerce.

We have company representation on the board of SAEPA (South African Express Parcel Association). This enables Churchills to have a close relationship with customs, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Postal Regulator, keeping up-to-date with the most important information for the legal and secure express transportation of your time sensitive shipments.

On many occasions we have been awarded the Prestigious Astraflex Supplier of the Year award which is just some of our accolades.

At Churchills we have a centralized call centre for all collections and queries countrywide. This can be accessed through our nationwide toll free line, where one of our dynamic call centre agents will see to all your needs swiftly.

Churchills runs a live integrated parcel system whereby track & trace of parcels can be done on line, as well as viewing of proof of deliveries. Our invoices, statements and quotes all get sent to our customers on line without delay. Our system offers various management reports which ease budgeting and cost cutting when needed.

Many a successful business has come to regard Churchills as an extension of our own company. We are able to offer in-house facilities at our cost on your premises for large corporate clients.

B.E.E. Certified :

Client must be able to choose the option of downloading a copy. We are currently involved in feed the babies fund raising program. The director of Churchills Mr Gary Weber is on the board of directors. For as little as R100.00 a month you will be feeding a baby for an entire month . We have held many functions is aid of fund raising towards the scheme and have always contributed towards the functions held to help feed the babies of our country.

Churchills International has also been a part of the Hillcreast aids centre / Woza Moya fund raising programme for many years. We have supported and will continue to support them Woza Moya financially and physically.

SERVICES

Same Day Service(SDX) :

A same day express between local destinations is delivered within 2-3 hours of logging the collection. This can change depending on courier availability and also traffic.

  • Same day between major cities will also depend on courier availability as well as flight availability.
  • Delivery takes places within 2 hours of the flight landing .
  • Same day delivery to an outlying area must be arranged with the central call centre.
  • Different areas have different costs depending on the driver away distance.

Overnight (ONX) :

  • When choosing an overnight service your parcel will be delivered to the consignee’s door by no later than 12pm the day after collection.
  • An overnight to a regional area is delivered with 48hrs (Two working days) of collection based on the geographical location of the receiver.
  • For extreme outlying and rural areas please contact our central call centre to confirm delivery dates .

Earlybird Service :

Delivery takes place before 9am between major cities – The delivery time may be delayed due to traffic , road works , airline delays and all other unforeseen Incidents that may occur.

Next Day-24 – 48 hours ( ECO) :

  • Next day services allows for delivery to take place 2-3 days after collection.
  • Outlying areas will be delivered 2-4 days after collection depending on the geographical location of the receiver.

Economy Road (RDF) :

Delivery takes place between 2-4 working days after collection date .

International :

  • We currently offer an efficient service to more than 180 countries worldwide . We update the pp online system on a daily basis with pods .
  • We offer a door to airport service .

International documents :

  • This service requires no additional documents for exporting .
  • Consignee is not liable for any duties , taxes or clearance fee .

International Parcels :

  • This service requires a commercial or tax invoice to be sent with the shipment.
  • The receive will be liable for any customs charges should the parcel be of high value.

Imports :

  • This service offers a door to door courier of all declarable and non-declarable items .
  • All declarable items will have a customs vat and duty charge liable to be paid by the receiver.

Volumetric Calculations

Shipments are charged at the greater of either the actual or volumetric mass. Volumetric weight is calculated as follows:

  • Length x Width x Height (cm)

Hazardous, Dangerous & Fragile Goods

All hazardous articles require a Hazardous Declaration Form. Certain goods are restricted for carriage in accordance with I.A.T.A regulations governing the transporting and packaging for hazardous / dangerous goods. Please enquire with the Call Centre with regards to the movement of such parcels. All fragile goods must be crated, as packaged goods need to withstand the weight of the items inside the box while in transit. Please ensure reused boxes have the old labels removed. Surcharges are applicable for hazardous goods. Please enquire with our Call Centre agents for a quotation and relevant information. We do not provide a packaging service other than to provide you with the small, medium and large flyer bags.

Restricted Commodities

MAY be acceptable under certain conditions ( check with origin office for acceptance)

  • Antiques or Fine Arts or Works of Art
  • Collectible and/or irreplaceable items
  • Drugs and pharmaceutical products
  • Cotton, seeds, teas
  • Industrial Diamonds and Carbons
  • Medical samples (e.g. diagnostic specimens, blood, tissue samples)
  • Precious Metals and Stones (including Jewellery)
  • Dangerous goods, hazardous or combustible materials, including asbestos, as defined by Height IATA regulations

Prohibited Commodities

NOT acceptable for transport (under any circumstances) as courier materials ( via on board courier service) (or via UCB).

  • Animals
  • Animal products, plant and plant products (e.g animal skins, )
  • Any item(s), the carriage of which is prohibited by any law, regulation or stature of any federal, state or local government from to or through which the shipment may be carried.
  • Counterfeit or Pirated goods or material
  • Currency
  • Furs/ Ivory/ Endangered animal products
  • Drugs/Narcotis (illegal)
  • Firearms, parts thereof, weapons (including swords) and ammunition
  • Human remains (including ashes)
  • Jewells
  • Negotiable instruments in Bearer form (including bullion)
  • Perishable items (e.g. flowers, foodstuffs, items requiring temperature control or special handling)

Proof of Deliveries

Domestic P.O.Ds are captured and images scanned into our system are readily available for viewing on our website.

Terms of Payment

A 30 day credit facility is available upon approval of application. Account relevant documentation and information will be provided to you by your Churchills representative.
