ABOUT US

Corrie Lynn is a rambling 125 year old farm in the Dargle Valley. The farm consists of rolling hills and quiet valleys. There are pastures which are grazed by our magnificent herd of Nguni cattle. Our herd is free-range and organic. We also have a growing flock of Dohne Merino sheep whose bells can be heard as they gently graze in the fields.

Activities on the farm include scenic walks through the 700 acre farmlands, fishing in the dams and in the Umgeni River which makes up one of the farm’s boundaries, birdwatching, mountain biking, and tubing down the river (in season).

We are on the Midlands Meander route and we are also craft members with a small furniture workshop and showroom situated in the farm yard. Visitors are welcome to come and see how the furniture is made and to view the pieces on show.

SERVICES

The venue is situated in the farmyard and consists of an old wood and iron barn which is used for the wedding reception and an open-sided chapel barn.

The couple has access to the venue for 3 days and 2 nights. A self-catering cottage which sleeps 5 is also included. The reception barn includes lovely wooden tables and benches as well as some chairs. There is a kitchen, an area for serving food and an area for dancing if desired. There are various pieces of furniture including some comfy couches and rugs.

Décor, flowers, catering, drinks, etc is arranged by you to suit your own individual style and budget. The venue itself has plenty of atmosphere and so décor can be minimal.
