I've always had trouble with dieting properly and figuring out what food to make for dinner, but with Fitchef it's so easy! Their meal plans and eating programmes are a great way to make sure you get all the nutrients your body needs and the recipes are so delicious - not like other bland diets that just taste so boring.

I came up with the FitChef Eating Concept after a lot of frustration from putting in massive amounts of exercise and still being overweight. But worse than not meeting fat loss goals, I wasn't healthy... I seemed to live on antibiotics and was continually buying every supplement that had "Immune Booster" on the label. I eventually found the answer... food is an investment and if I don't have a fridge/freezer full of excellent, ready-to-eat meals, then I would resort to eating unhealthy, processed, high carb, refined bread. Preparation is the key.

EXERCISE DOESN'T EQUAL THIN

I have been very active for a long time now and have taken part in everything from the Cape Epic, Sani2C, to 320km 1-day rides, full & half IRONMAN, running, swimming, body building and hardcore bikram yoga. I figured that by doing up to 25 hours a week of training, 12 hour IRONMAN training sessions and up to 50 hours effort in 1 race week, that I would seriously have lost all fat and been immensely healthy, but I wasn't.

THE PENNY DROPS

We need to stop outsourcing our eating decisions to 'experts' with big advertising campaigns, by companies with hidden marketing-only agendas. Start reading labels and making up your own mind about things... ask questions. Even if the product says no preservatives or flavour-ants you should read the label and ingredients list... if you don't recognise the ingredients then how can you trust what you are eating.

We promise that our ingredients are things that you will recognise... like butternut, cauliflower, beans, water, onion, courgettes, tomato, chicken breast etc. NOT things like Stabilisers, Emulsifiers, Beef Flavours, Acidifying agent, Natural Colourants etc. That just makes common sense - Naturally Better!

FITCHEF FOOD

You will notice that our meals are NOT filled with large amounts of cheap ingredients (like refined flour pasta or cheap rice)

Instead we focus on:

  • Quality ‘nutrient rich’ food like fresh vegetables
  • Organic options where possible
  • No refined or bleached products
  • Interesting variations on recipes with far healthier options
  • Little or no dairy
  • No high GI carbs (as far as possible. There is a place for fast releasing carbs, but not as the basis of your lifestyle)
  • No preservatives
