SIRAC Southern Africa was established in 1987. The corporation’s principal business was the importation, marketing, distribution and service of a major brand of Commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Products in Southern Africa. In 2005 the company entered into an agreement with the SIRAC Company to become the exclusive distributor of their products in Southern Africa. During this time, SIRAC SA has become the leading innovative water heating solutions provider in Southern Africa.

Initially SIRAC SA concentrated on the supply of domestic hot water heat pumps and swimming pool heat pumps. Thousands of these units are installed in Southern Africa with exceptional reliability and performance results. SIRAC SA expanded its operation to include the full range of SIRAC commercial high efficiency heat pumps and fast became a market leader in this business. Our strong air conditioning and refrigeration background has played a huge part in this success story.

A comprehensive network of SIRAC SA dealers and distributors was established throughout South Africa and Namibia; this further enhanced the national sales and service ability of the company.

In 2013, SIRAC SA developed and patented the THERMOCUBE™ range of thermal storage vessels. These tanks have completely revolutionized the commercial hot water industry in Southern Africa.

In 2014, SIRAC SA acquired the distribution licence for the accredited PHNIX range of integrated heat pump geysers as well as Smart Air Heat Pumps. These products are backed with SANS 151:2012 compliance.

In 2014, SIRAC SA introduced commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps capable of heating water to 85°c. Most manufacturers are limited to 55 – 60°c.

High Temperature Heat pumps offer a positive solution in the control of bacteria (legionella) in domestic hot water reticulation systems and are suitable for many commercial and industrial process that require high temperature water.
