Springwell was established in 1972. Springwell is the Eastern Cape’s leading spring manufacturer and wire former.

Dave Ogden, who still has hands-on involvement in the business, formed Springwell 44 years ago.

With humble beginnings supplying engineering companies with small spring orders, only two years later we secured contracts with General Motors, Ford and first tier suppliers. With these first contracts we established our reputation as a consistent, high quality, cost-effective supplier and have the long-term relationships to prove it.

Today we have over 30 full-time employees working out of our own Port Elizabeth premises and have further plans to purchase additional machinery to widen the product and service offering.

Having been established for over 40 years we have the experience and knowledge to make the right solution for you, but young enough with talent rising through the ranks that we don’t stand still.
