Word of Faith Christian Centre will present a Women's Conference from Thursday, 31 August to Saturday 2 June, featuring keynote speakers Gretha Wiid, Lynette Beer, Pearl Kupe and Arise conference founder, Mariana Crompton.

The three-day Arise Women’s Conference will take place at the 2000 seater Word of Faith church in William Moffett Expressway.

This year the conference introduces food trucks and Indian cuisine, while discounted beauty treatments from local business, Total Concept, and a second-hand shop in aid of a local charity, Shepherd’s Field Rehabilitation Centre, are set to return.

Crompton said the conference speakers were chosen, not only for their areas of expertise, but for their personal success stories and the road they have travelled to become who they are today.

A household name across South Africa, conference speaker Gretha Wiid is the author of six books, and has an Honours degree in Sex Education and Educational Psychology as well as Honours degrees in Sotho and Zulu. Straightforward and humorous, she has an unflinching dedication to God’s truth, and speaks with authority on issues of marital life, parenting, relationships and being a spiritual warrior.

“I have such an amazing message for you. If you seek wisdom and are at the point in your life where you seriously need breakthrough and a good message, then you should be there,” Gretha Wiid said about the upcoming event.

Pearl Kupe, the former general manager of communications at Transnet and a certified business coach will teach on leadership, communication, education and gender issues. A business consultant to national governments and international organisations, Pearl worked as the public prosecutor for the Botswana attorney general and in the areas of social dialogue and labour law reform in several countries.

The third in the trio of speakers, Lynette Beer, has presented inspirational talks from Time Square to London. The author of a number of bestselling books, Lynette has a reputation for delivering energetic powerhouse training that is credible, fun and unique.

Breakaway sessions between speakers’ talks include DIY Party Styling with Mrs South Africa finalist, Lizelle de Kock, a photography session with her twin sister, Zanelle Dorfling and a session on the prophetic with established local prophet, Elise Botha. Through these interactive discussions and presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, children’s personality profiles, business ethics, line dancing and a positive self-image. Additionally, Bernadette Naude from Atlas Security will be empowering tweens with a self-defence class and social media safety guidelines.

“Arise was built on the basis that the conference as a whole needs to be a positive, faith building, emotionally uplifting as well as ‘an exposure to excellence’ experience. The purpose of the Arise Women’s Conference is to let women know that they are valued and that each woman is uniquely designed by God for a purpose.” said conference host, Mariana Crompton.

Word of Faith invites all women to a weekend of fun and inspiration with coffee, delicious food, inspirational talks, practical breakaway sessions and beauty treatments. Arise is the best place to wind down from the buzz of life and also a time to focus on your own life, spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Registrations for individual seminars and breakaway sessions open at 8:30 every morning over the course of the weekend. To register for the Arise Conference Women’s Conference and receive a complimentary gift, complete the online form on www.ariseconference
