Johan le Roux - Psychologist

DESCRIPTION

I am a registered Psychologist working in private practice in Somerset West. I offer individual therapy for teenagers and adults (in-person and online) as well as sport psychology services.

Outside of the therapy room I still do a bit of rugby broadcasting. Before I became a psychologist I worked fulltime as a sport broadcaster and had the privilege of traveling internationally and locally covering sport. During my broadcasting career I interviewed some of the world’s biggest sport stars and I was fascinated by how their minds work, how they manage to perform at such a high level, and how they are also just normal people with their own faulty thinking at times.

At home I am a husband and father of two young boys. We have a giant St Bernard and in my spare time I enjoy letting my mind wander as I go for a long run. I also host a podcast on parenting called Don’t Tell Me How to Parent in which I speak to parenting experts all over the world about interesting topics relating to raising children
