ABOUT US

Avon is more than beauty

This is the company that puts mascara on lashes and food on tables. The company that fights wrinkles with one hand and breast cancer with the other. The company that knows the value of a perfect lip, but still opens its mouth and speaks out against domestic violence and for women's financial independence. We're the company that not only brings beauty to doors, but also opens them. The company that supports six million independent Avon Sales Representatives in over 100 countries. The company that for more than 125 years has stood for beauty, innovation, optimism and, above all, for women.

The South African journey

Avon is the biggest direct-selling company in South Africa and has been empowering South African women for over 20 years through by providing high quality value-for-money beauty products, and an opportunity for earning and financial freedom. We release 12 issues of our brochure every year, which is available in printed as well as digital formats. These brochures include our beautiful portfolio of beauty and related products at affordable prices. Avon make up has been recognised as the “coolest make-up brand” in the country for 6th consecutive year! Our Fragrance brands are also South Africa’s favourite, with our Iconic Far Away being part of our local heritage.

At Avon, we see every woman as a person – not a statistic – and every incidence of violence as one too many. Avon launched the Speak Out against Domestic Violence programme in South Africa in 2008 to address gender-based violence. In South Africa, Avon works with People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA), the Transform Education About Rape and Sexual abuse (TEARS) Foundation, Yokhuselo Haven and the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women & Children. Today the company has raised more than R8 million locally and over $42 million globally for this cause. Join our movement, check out the following hashtag on social media #Stand4Her.
