Green World Environmental Consultancy (Pty) Ltd (GreenWorld) is an environmental consulting firm that specializes in environmental management related work. Green World Environmental Consultancy is 100% black owned and Level 1 Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) company with offices in East London although work might be undertaken in the other eight provinces.

Green World was established in 2020 was officially registered in 2022 .Green World was formally registered with the aim of ensuring that services are rendered according to the client’s specifications with the highest level of professionalism to make every project a success. GreenWorld is made up of Environmental Scientists and technical specialist consultants from diversity of environmental fields and in conjunction with our range of local network partners who provide GreenWorld clients with an unprecedented body of knowledge and expertise in environmental management and nature conservation.

GreenWorld is committed to working with entrepreneurs or individuals in disadvantaged communities as part of its response to the goal of Broad-Based Black Empowerment which aims to distribute wealth across broader South Africa.

SERVICES

Green World Environmental Consultancy offers its clients a pool of environmental expertise to meet their authorisation, implementation and monitoring needs, as outlined below:

• Identification of project risks, scoping of issues for project enhancements and evaluation of impacts through environment impact assessments (EIAs) and development of Environmental Management Programmes (EMPr, including development of implementation plans in the form of environmental management plans (EMPs).

• Assist in applications for various authorisations from regulatory authorities such as Water Use Licences, Waste Licences and Development of Integrated Waste Management Plans

• Stakeholder identification, engagement and management and incorporation of issues into feasibility studies for better inclusive decision making

Environmental monitoring and auditing to ensure the project controls are on place and that the desired objectives are being attained throughout the project life cycle.

1. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT – Green World Environmental Consultancy has vast experience in undertaking Environmental Impact Assessment Project ranging from housing developments, bridges and for mixed land-use developments. All projects are undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Management Act and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations of 2017 as amended (Screening – Scoping – EIR - Basic Assessment - EMP).

2. Independent Environmental Control Officer (ECO) – We have experience in undertaking ECO duties for bulk water supply projects, residential developments, road construction projects and all other infrastructure related projects. ECO is responsible for monitoring all activities on a development site and ensuring that all contractors comply with the requirements of the conditions as stipulated in any environmental authorisation as well as the requirements outlined in the Environmental Management Programme (EMPr).

3. Permits Applications – Green World Environmental Consultancy has vast experience in providing assistance in obtaining approvals for the following types of environmental applications:

• Waste Management License (WML) applications;

• Waste Management Plans;

• Environmental Management Plan (EMP) approval applications;

• Mining Permit applications;

• Indigenous plant / nursery permits; and

• Department of Water and Sanitation authorizations

4. Waste Management – Green World Environmental Consultancy has extensive experience in landfill investigations, permit applications and waste management. We have undertaken permit applications for general landfill sites and all applications are undertaken in accordance to the National Environmental Management Waste Act and with strict adherence to the minimum requirements.

5. Development of Environmental Management Programmes (EMPr) - compilation of Environmental Management Programmes containing mitigation measures for construction and the operation of the infrastructure development projects for inclusion with applications for Environmental Authorisation or for independent use for the promotion of environmental best practice.

6. Geohydrological studies - investigate and evaluate underground water resources, their quality and characteristics. Compilation of geo hydrological study report.
