ABOUT US
Adrian and Rentia Booysen started making biltong at home in 1994. They sold their biltong at open markets and gradually expanded to local shops and restaurants. Within a few years, they had opened a factory in Kommetjie, with a factory shop and expanded the operation nationwide.
After 30 years, we now successfully operate in three areas, namely the Slivers Factory Shop in Heron Park, our Online Store, delivering to retail customers across South Africa and our national Wholesale Sector.

We guarantee all our products, provided they are still within the indicated “Best Before” date printed on the packaging of any product we supply.

Our processes are of international standard and all products fully guaranteed. We source superior quality raw materials from selected suppliers that comply with the strictest international hygienic procedures. These are suppliers who ascribe to and are certified with HACCP, SABS and GOOD MANUFACTURING. All our products are Halaal certified with certificate available on request.
Our strict hygiene, selected ingredients and quality manufacturing processes, complete with high-tech packaging processes ensures excellent shelf-life.
PRODUCTS
Wholesale
Our wholesale division supplies in bulk to various hotels, clubs, marketing companies, caterers and supermarkets wanting to stock our extensive quality range. We specialise in a beautifully presented range of Minibar snacks which has proven successful in top hotels across South Africa. We also supply re-sealable 1kg cater pack sizes to the catering industry.
We offer custom brand packaging to a number of clients, including the nationwide Kauai and Nu Café brands, as well as the exclusive Treat Co brand. We offer this service free of additional charge and will customise a process to ensure your brand integrity.
Our offering includes our distinctive biltong and dry wors, as well as a wide range of fresh nuts, dried fruit, seeds, snacks and sweets.
Our Recipes
We carefully select the very finest ingredients and biltong spices available to manufacture our products. Our biltong recipes have been formulated over 20 years and we hand-mix our pure spice blends. This ensures a consistent quality and flavour profile that is well sought after. Our striving for excellence has resulted in a dried meat range that is unsurpassed in South Africa.
Corporate Gifting
Our corporate gifting has been popular over the years, especially as each year draws to a close. Particularly since 2020, these elegant gifts have found their way into national Zoom conferences and sent as a special birthday gesture to home offices throughout the year.
We have 3 standard sizes to choose from (Boutique, Deluxe and Luxury) and a number of branding options available. We engage with our customers to find the perfect solution for their events, conferences and special gestures.
We also have 2 popular and impressive biltong cakes for functions that we sell either built up and collected in the factory shop or we send them via courier nationwide in kit form.
